Here we go again
About 11 months ago, I started a blog about losing weight. I gave it some fancy name, and swore to complete Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred.
I got up early every morning and completed the workout dvd, then went to the computer to report back about it. I felt the blog made me accountable. I completed day 13 or so (or was it only six and FELT like 13?) and found out I was pregnant with my second baby. So I quit. That was possibly the first time in my life when I had a decent excuse to quit. I realize being healthier during pregnancy is a good thing. Beating up my body, however, was not a good thing.
My baby is already six-weeks-old. No more excuses. With that said, I have a hundred of them lined up and ready to go. Lack of sleep. The need for Dr. Pepper. Nursing takes more calories. Two babies who take all my time. Blah blah blah. Oh, I almost forgot. GIRL SCOUT COOKIES. More specifically, Thin Mints.
I have already purchased my supply of Thin Mints this year. And then ate them all, and bought more. And now those are gone, too. I eat them by the tube, not by the cookie. It's gross, but so good.
And yes, I love to support the Girl Scouts. My nieces, specifically. And my sister, who is the scout leader. Still, I have got to get control.
This time around, I am trying to be realistic. No taking away anything desirable, especially at first. In fact, I am going to first try to add things to my diet and lifestyle. For instance, I went to grab a Dr. Pepper from the fridge a few moments ago, but instead drank some water. I will probably go back for the pop later, but maybe if I replace a few of them a day with water, it will make a difference. I am also trying to do better about taking my vitamins. And, I even rented a yoga dvd from the library yesterday.
To start, it is all about adding things, and taking away only pounds. Oh, and maybe Thin Mints:)
